This is a FREE offering for SHRM SKC Members!


Experience the Connected Communications Challenge. Over three months, you’ll complete one short, engaging, gamified module every 3 weeks, designed to strengthen real-world communication skills:

  • Navigating difficult conversations
  • Staying grounded under pressure, and
  • Building stronger workplace relationships.

Along the way, you’ll participate in three 1-hour interactive webinars with other SHRM SKC members:

  • August 20 - Kickoff session to set the stage
  • October 2 - Mid-journey conversation to exchange insights and explore real-life scenarios, and
  • October 30 - Closing session to reflect on your experience and consider how the concepts could help you support your internal clients.

The webinars will be live and recorded and take place 9-10am PT.

Time commitment is for the challenge is approximately 30 minutes per week.

Throughout the journey, you’ll receive practical handouts and personalized takeaways you can keep and apply immediately. It’s a low-time-commitment way to experience the game firsthand, connect with peers, and evaluate how this blend of gamified learning, reflection, and live discussion helps leaders communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

About the facilitator: 

Hylke Faber’s mission is to help people connect more deeply to themselves, each other, and their purpose. Following a successful career in strategy consulting in New York City, he discovered meditation and almost became a monk. Instead, he chose to become a coach, bringing what he learned through his contemplative practices to people at work.

Hylke has been coaching senior leaders and teams globally since 2006. He is a seasoned leadership keynote speaker, award-winning author of Taming Your Crocodiles, Forbes contributor, executive and team coach, connectedness architect, and podcast host. He has spoken at many Fortune 500 companies, leads Growth Leaders Network, the coaching consultancy, has taught coaching at Columbia Business School Exec Ed for over a decade, and also teaches at Arizona State University.

A native of the Netherlands, Hylke is a trained opera singer, loves hiking, and lives with his husband, Jahon, in Phoenix, Arizona.
